Dad was in an accident on May 30, 2009. He was in the hospital until June 26, 2009. During that time, our family has grown closer and we have come to rely on each other in a way we never dreamed possible. Through it all, we have had heartaches, tears, funny times, and learning experiences. Dad will have to wear this lovely halo for 3-4 months - we are all hoping for the shortest time possible. It is a miracle that Dad was not paralyzed. We count our blessings every day. Recovery is full of ups and downs and Mom has had quite a burden placed on her. She ended up in the emergency room this past week, also and Dad had to have the 2 front pins moved lower on his forehead this week. We are just glad that Dad is doing so well now. He was in the ICU for 21 days and spent the other week between the 3rd floor and the rehab on the 6th floor. During that time we were very grateful to have each other.
